We have walls.....kind of...

These pictures are from Wednesday and Friday.

On Wednesday the worker bees had filled the forms up with the cement that will soon be the foundation of our house.

The back walls are over 8 feet tall! They should've just given us a basement at the rate they were digging!

By Friday, the forms were taken down and our walls had really taken shape! How awesome it is to see the outline of our house....although I am still tempted to take a tape measure to it - it seems so small!
Here Earl is modeling the lovely entrance to the garage of the stately Smith Manor....

Soon we will be dining in the room just beside the yellow poo house...

Ahhhhh, the great room....

On the wall to the right of that corner will be a crackling fireplace come November!

And last, but not least, our stoop...that is now hovering a whopping 8 feet above ground level. Should be interesting to see what they do with that! We noticed while standing on said stoop we were about level with the second floors of the houses across the street. That's some crazy height!

In other news.....the girls come back to Kentucky tomorrow. It's been a quiet few weeks, but I'm ready to have them back. Real life comes back in full Monday morning, bright and early, with the return of school. ANNNNNNNNnnnnd......I found out today that I was accepted into EKU's Graduate program. This summer just got a whole lot busier!
