At the Building Site.

We continue to see progress on our lot. Every evening we make the trek to Rocky Creek, lugging our camera with us, to see what new things have been built during the day. This week the industrious, unseen (by us) workers have been busy forming the foundation of our home.


That little blocked out area will be our porch.


Our cars will soon be parked right where the pile of dirt is!





After the first layer was poured on Monday, they set the frames to pour the rest of the wall. Because our lot has a dramatic change in elevation from the back yard to the front, they chose to pour the walls, as opposed to the cinder block they usually bild with. Or...something like that. It will be interesting to see what the front of our house will look like since they need to build so high above street level.


We were greeted by this big green truck that is currently parked outside our lot.


We will have some tall walls!
