Our Quaint Little Cottage

Here are the before photos of our new house's first floor.  It's amazing to see the difference already!

Our list of wants and needs is long!  The house has all the charm and comfort of your favorite grandparent's home.  Nice, but wouldn't wanna live there, right?  We're slowly turning it into the quaint cottage we saw through the wallpaper and faux birds hanging from the retro light fixtures when we first walked in.

Stay tuned for updates!

Five Months Old

Dear Eva Kate,

I need to find the "pause" button.  You're growing TOO FAST!  This month you have changed so much.

You had your 4 month check up at the doctor's and those shots were rough.  Not looking forward to the next round!  Your doctor diagnosed you with a "raging case of cuteness" and was impressed with how strong you are.  You continue to be between the 25-50%tile - meaning you're smaller than about half the babies your age.

This month we also bought a house to raise you and your big sisters in!  It's a fixer upper for sure, and I bet the only memory you'll have of the "before" is in pictures.

Your schedule has been messed up just about every day and usually you smile through it all!

Anna and Libby continue to adore you.  And really, how could they not?  You think they are the best entertainment ever and light up whenever you see them.

You are now reaching for things, rolling, and loving the Jumperoo.  You love to "talk" to us, and recently you discovered that you can squeal and really get our attention!  You are opinionated and let us know that you think bouncers and rock n plays are for babies and YOU need to be up and looking around!

We also started solid foods this month.  You haven't gotten through very many, but so far you are not a fan of carrots.  At all.  After the second taste you decided "No thank you!" and refused to open your mouth for more.  You LOVE watermelon, and sweet potatoes, and apples!

Most nights you go to sleep around 9 and sleep until 6, sometimes with a quick snack around 2 or 4.  You're such a peanut I figure you must need those extra calories to keep growing.

You are so much fun to have around and we all love you so much!
