Today is Earl's birthday.
One year ago today, we spent the day in Cincinnati, exploring the city, visiting sights we hadn't seen before, dreaming about the future.
One of the places we visited was St. Mary's Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption.
I finally edited (half-heartedly) the pictures of that beautiful church.
Looking through them makes me feel like we were just there yesterday.
But on the other hand, it feels like forever ago.
A lifetime ago.
It was.
Two lifetimes ago.
That day, one year ago,
we had no idea what was in store for us.
It's unbelievable to look back and think what we've been through in one year.
So much loss.
But on that day,
one year ago,
we were so hopeful.
Looking forward to the future.
Dreaming of what would be.
I can only hope this next year brings more positive changes to our lives.
